  • FARMERS MARKET The Boyne City Farmers Market has moved indoors to the Red Barn next to the library on Park Street. For the third consecutive year, the winter market continues every Saturday at that location from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through April.
  • LET'S DO LUNCH
    Boyne Area Senior Center, 411 E. Division St., is open to the public for daily lunches. For seniors age 60+, the donation is $3, for ages 60 and under. $6. For daily information call 582 6682.

  • SENIOR CENTER DINNERS
    Boyne Area Senior Center is hosting night meals instead of lunches on Wednesdays. Dinner starts at 5 p.m. and serving continues until 6. Please join us for this endeavor and have dinner instead of lunch every Wednesday. Entertainment will also be provided each Wednesday. February 14-15

  • Chocolate-Covered Boyne
    Sponsored by the Main Street Program and the Boyne Area Chamber of Commerce, this year's event will include more than 30 participating businesses. Chocolate-Covered Boyne has a combined chocolate/Valentine theme and there will be tastings (food and drink) of chocolate treats and goodies, special chocolate desserts; and even jewelry featuring chocolate. On Saturday, Feb. 15, Freshwater Art Gallery (582-2588) will be hosting its annual "Wine, Women, Chocolate & Song" concert featuring Blake Elliott, Ruby Williams, DarleneYa and Robin Lee Berry.

  • Lightwire Theater
    What does cutting edge technology and 1000-year-old children's tales have in common? One is interpreting the other at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21 when Crooked Tree Arts Center presents Lightwire Theater at the Boyne City Performing Arts Center. With a special performance of "The Ugly Duckling and the Tortoise and the Hare," this show is visually stunning, and though the story may be a children's fable, the show itself is nothing short of a must-see spectacle for all ages, adults included.   • FROSTBITE FESTIVAL
    Sommerset Pointe Yacht Club is planning a Frostbite Festival starting at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, including live entertainment, a hot-wing eating contest, indoor and outdoor activities and games, food and beverage stations, and local micro-brew tasting. Admission is $8 for members and $10 for non-members, and free for ages 12 and under.

  • BOYNE CELTIC MUSIC SESSION
    will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, in the Boyne District Library Community Room. Local performers are encouraged to attend this trraditional Celtic/Irish Music Session in an American round format. Hosts are Gaeyle Gerrie and Dan House.
