    Boyne Area Senior Center, 411 E. Division St., is open to the public for daily lunches. For seniors age 60+, the donation is $3, for ages 60 and under. $6. For daily information call 582 6682.

  • SENIOR CENTER DINNERS
    Boyne Area Senior Center is hosting night meals instead of lunches on Wednesdays. Dinner starts at 5 p.m. and serving continues until 6. Please join us for this endeavor and have dinner instead of lunch every Wednesday. Entertainment will also be provided each Wednesday.

  • Judy Kuheana Breakfast
    The Red Mesa Grill in Boyne City will host its 18th annual Judy Kuheana Benefit Breakfast. The all-you-can eat Latin American breakfast buffet will be served from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Judy was a founder of the 7th Day Adventist Food Pantry. She passed away in October of 1996. The Red Mesa Grill, with the help of Judy's brother, Jerry Kelts has held this benefit breakfast on the first Saturday of December since it opened in 1997, raising well over $25,000 to benefit Boyne area charities. This year the proceeds will benefit Boyne area food pantries through the Manna Food Project. Cost for the breakfast is $10 for adults and $6 for kids 12 and under.

  • Holiday Craft Show
    9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 , at Boyne City High School. Admission is $2 for adults and no charge for students. Refreshments are also available for this 36th annual event that raises funds for the Boyne City Booster Foundation. Hourly drawings will be held for $20 Boyne Bucks giveaways.   • SANTA VISIT
    The Boyne District Library will host a special visit with Santa Claus on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 10 a.m. Children of all ages are encouraged to come. All children who attend will receive a book and have an opportunity to have their picture taken with Santa. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

  • HOLIDAY CRAFTERNOON
    Middle and high school students are invited to get creative at Holiday Crafternoon" on Dec. 13. Materials will be available to make handcrafted gifts for family and friends.   • Christmas Dinner
    The 1st Presbyterian Church of Boyne City will continue its tradition of offering a free Christmas Dinner for anyone and everyone in the community from noon to 2 p.m. The church is located at 401 S. Park St. The church fellowship group is organizing the event and cooking the traditional turkey dinner with all the fixin's. The dinner is paid for by contributions from the congregation, the public and local grocery stores. Anyone who would like to support the effort may call 582-7983.
